Thunderbomb Surf Camp

You finally get a week off.

You fly to Nicaragua with one goal: surf as much as possible and come home feeling like the trip was worth it. The Boom is right out front. Your room is a few steps away. Food and cold drinks are handled. You have an Experienced local guide, a 4x4 and a boat ready to take you anywhere were the waves best each day. No wasted mornings. No figuring things out as you go.

Welcome to ThunderBomb Surf Camp.

ThunderBomb Surf Camp: Make the Trip Count

The Camp

ThunderBomb has been part of the Northern Nicaragua surf scene since 2012, and over the years it has stayed intentionally small, with just five private rooms right by the beach. Is the kind of place where you stop thinking about everything except surfing.

Here you get out of the water from a session and, before you even realize how thirsty you are, someone is already walking toward you with a cold coconut, water or a beer. You sit down in the shade, start talking about the waves you just got, and a fresh breakfast burrito lands in your hands. That pretty much sums up the experience. The rest is handled at the same level.

Plenty of camps can list similar things. What makes ThunderBomb different is how well and the quality they deliver. Everything is sorted before it becomes something you need to think about, which is exactly how a good surf trip should feel.

The Surf Zone

The Boom is the headline. A powerful, sand-bottom A-frame producing left and right barrels, it's one of the best waves in Northern Nicaragua and a great place for confident surfers looking to spend more time inside the tube without a shallow reef underneath them.

Best part? You stay right in front of it.

But don't make the mistake of thinking Northern Nicaragua starts and ends at The Boom.

The coast has beachbreaks, points and reefs that come alive under different conditions. Your guide reads the swell, wind and tide each day and makes the call.

Sometimes you walk out front. Sometimes the boards go on the 4x4. Sometimes you take the boat.

That's the difference local knowledge makes when you've got one week instead of one month to figure the place out.

Accommodation

You don't need marble floors after three hours of barrels.

You need a cold room, good food, somewhere comfortable to recover and another session waiting outside.

ThunderBomb gives you exactly that.

5 private A/C rooms
Pool + cold plunge
Beachfront rancho and chill areas
3 meals a day
Unlimited drinks, including beer and rum
Daily cleaning
One massage included

Comfortable enough to properly switch off. Small enough to still feel like a surf camp.

Why ThunderBomb?

You can find a cheaper bed near The Boom. But a bed isn't a surf trip.

Your vacation time is probably harder to replace than the money you spend getting here.

ThunderBomb removes the little things that quietly eat into a week away. Finding food. Renting a car. Reading unfamiliar forecasts. Guessing tides. Looking for waves. Organizing boats. Driving around after surfing all morning.

What you’re really buying is a better version of the week.

Standard All-Inclusive

7 days / 6 nights

3+ surfers: USD 1,870 pp
2 surfers: USD 1,970 pp
Solo, private room: USD 2,970

Surf Coaching

Here's where things get even more interesting.

Most intermediate surfers don't need another beginner lesson. They need someone good to watch them surf, show them what's holding them back and help them fix it while they're getting enough waves to actually practice. ThunderBomb combines the surf trip with daily in-water coaching, video analysis and personalized feedback.

Surf in the morning. Watch the clips. See what you're doing wrong. Work on it during the next session. Repeat that for a week. You're still in Nicaragua chasing barrels with your mates. You just have someone helping you make those sessions count.

The goal is simple: Don't just come home with clips. Come home a better surfer.

Coaching Package;

5+ surfers: USD 2,599 pp
2 to 4 surfers: USD 2,770 pp
Solo, private room: USD 3,299

Everything in the Standard Package, plus daily coaching, nightly video analysis, personalized feedback and all your photos and footage.

Getting There

Fly into Managua.

ThunderBomb picks you up in a private A/C transfer and takes you straight to the camp. Your return transfer is covered too.

After a long international flight with a boardbag, that's exactly how you want it.

Is Thunderbomb for you?

If your only goal is finding the cheapest room near The Boom, probably not.

ThunderBomb is for the surfer who looks at a week off differently. You've worked all year for those days. You flew all the way to Nicaragua. You probably don't surf nearly as much at home as you'd like. So when you finally get the chance, make the trip count.

Wake up in front of The Boom. Follow people who know the coast. Surf the right wave for the day. Eat amazing food. Have some beers. Recover properly. Fix a few things in your surfing. Then wake up and do it again.

No bullshit. No wasted days. Just a really good surf trip, done properly.

Come for the waves. Let ThunderBomb handle everything else.
